'Truth seeker,' I said in a sing-song voice.
He reddened. After a minute he said, 'I investigated an illegal porn ring. I had to watch it to review the evidence.' He sounded extremely awkward, but his words rang with truth.

'But did you ever watch it on any other occasion?'
He didn't answer, and I snickered. He turned the music on, and I laughed louder. 'You know, having a partner is kind of fun,' I teased.
'Is that what we are, Jinx? Partners?' He turned on the smoulder, his gaze hot and heavy.
