A grandmother passes on some of her most loving thoughts, in the form of epigrams, adages, proverbs, platitudes, axioms, truisms, comments, reflections and so much of all the rest of it learned at school and in libraries, to an 11-year-old grandson as he finishes elementary school and prepares for middle school.
