Hugo is a bold little hedgehog who likes to speak in French. Hedgehogs usually go out after dark, but Hugo decides he wants to explore in daylight, which is not wise.
Inspecting his garden, he comes across a squirrel who doesn't understand him, a toad who gives him good advice and, finally, he finds Hatty who helps him solve a very irritating problem.
