Heal As you Build: A Business Woman's Journal and Reminder, It's Going To Be Okay' was created by writer Rae Ashe who began her journaling journey- at fourteen years old. The independent publisher and distributor felt the responsibility to transfer all of her daily notes, torn off wilted pages and scribbled on receipts with small inspirational wording that has kept her going in times of entrepreneurship uncertainty into a notebook form for other women whom are experiencing similar challenges in personal growth while maintaining a business.
"Entrepreneurship can be rewarding and equally as challenging at the same time. Balancing it all, no matter how positive you are regarding your endeavor can lead to complex moments of feeling insecure, doubtful and sometimes defeated as you're building a business.
Some of us may not have it all together, and may not have acquired all of the necessary knowledge to maintain a business which can lead to self-doubt, or stuck in the imposter syndrome. None of which is to be embarrassed about. Personal and Professional growth is continual and should always be an intentional goal. Create a space just for yourself outside of everyone else and your business. I've learned to step away when I'm feeling unmotivated or uninspired. It does happen. This can manifest through exhaustion, a feeling of not advancing or gaining the potential success as you aspired to have when initially creating your business plan. Have you actually paid close attention to the progress already made? No matter how small- a congratulatory nod is due to yourself- even when you have not received it from others. Not acknowledging any facet of the businesses growth, when it isn't the grandest of what you've expected, is held in regards to not appreciating the hard work you've put in to it.
I want any woman, no matter where she is in life and in business to know, it's okay to feel this way- for a moment. You have to remember your purpose and why you started while navigating in the direction of your goals.
Learn to embrace course correction. In Life and in Business.
This journal helps you to reconnect with your core values. In some of the toughest moments, it can be easy to disassociate yourself with the initial vision. I'm grateful to have both "pieced myself back together while finding peace" through Heal As You Build. Now, I'm sharing it with you".
