Estamos hechos de tiempo, habitados por tiempos múltiples y heterogéneos que se cruzan, se interfieren, se entremezclan… La política, según Zenia Yébenes, tiene que dar cuenta de ello. La memoria, entendida como la inscripción y transmisión de distintos ritmos de tiempo de vida y de materia, se constituye como un elemento crucial que modifica nuestra relación con el mundo, transformando así nuestro modo de percibirlo. El hilo conductor de estas páginas es, entonces, la articulación del tiempo y el imaginario como aquello que permanece aún impensado en la relación de lo humano con la vida y la Tierra, bios y geos. Zenia Yébenes propone imaginar otro modo de política que contemple las diferentes formas de tiempo de las que estamos hechos. Tiempos que no sean los de la nostalgia del origen perdido ni los de la memoria traumática ni únicamente los de la memoria como ejercicio deliberado y crítico. Necesitamos otra forma de mirar lo que nos constituye: el día a día, lo ordinario, la inquietante intimidad con el tiempo de los animales, el tiempo de los muertos y también el tiempo de los dioses.
We are made of time, inhabited by multiple and heterogeneous times that intersect, interfere, intermingle... Politics, according to Zenia Yébenes, has to account for this. Memory, understood as the inscription and transmission of different rhythms of life time and matter, is constituted as a crucial element that modifies our relationship with the world, thus transforming our way of perceiving it. The common thread of these pages is, then, the articulation of time and the imaginary as that which remains unthought of in the relationship of the human with life and the Earth, bios and geos. Zenia Yébenes proposes to imagine another mode of politics that contemplates the different forms of time of which we are made. Times that are not those of nostalgia for a lost origin nor those of traumatic memory nor solely those of memory as a deliberate and critical exercise. We need another way of looking at what constitutes us: everyday life, the ordinary, the disturbing intimacy with the time of animals, the time of the dead and also the time of the gods.
