The vocabularies are those every child should know; the storie's are very simply told, and most of them can be dramatized, an important fact to children. The two plays made by sixth-grade children are the result of classroom work, and the games chosen are those most popular with the children.
All grammatical rules have been purposely omitted, and only the simplest points' of grammar and the commonest verbs are given. It is use of the language rather than rules that is desired.
The questions and exercises are merely suggestive of what may be done with each lesson. Any thoughtful teacher will find many ways of making the work interesting.
