Africa, the land of slavery, has seen some dark periods in its history. It contains all forms of slavery, particularly intra-African and extra-African. From the Arab slave trade to the slave trade, the continent in general, and Chad in particular, has not been totally spared from this phenomenon, which has continued into the 21st century of modern times. Following the abolition of all forms of human trafficking, considered a serious violation of human rights, sanctioned by the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights and international and national conventions ratified by Chad since 1960, human trafficking and child labor continue to be observed under the complicit and powerless gaze of the authorities. The worst forms of child labor and human trafficking are on the increase. From girls to boys, all are enslaved and abused. Victims of horrors, this practice affects vulnerable families or people sold, kidnapped or hijacked for the purposes of exploitation, which this book seeks to shed light on.
