Together all of these poems create a story of what love is like from the perspective of a broken narrator. Her journey in trying to learn what healthy relationships look like, is intertwined with her own growth and experiences of late adolescence. The story attempts to show what a modern coming of age story can look like, and how the narrator needs to accept some difficult truths.
