Nineteen summers after its inauguration of its Invitational Summer institute in summer 1998, the Tampa Bay Area Writing Project welcomes 11 more teachers to the ranks of the teacher consultants and education thought leaders. Technology has improved. Most Fellows and Facilitators have laptops they use to write their ideas or search for specific information or take virtual trips. TBAWP now claims 275 Teacher Consultants and 36% of them have earned or are earning their masters and/or doctoral degree(s) at the University of South Florida. This anthology is a collection of some of the best writing produced by the class of TBAWP 2017, in response to the various learning activities over the two week summer intensive.
