The thriller tells the true story of climber Pam Bales who rescued a man from a blizzard atop Mount Washington. Facing an impending blizzard on her way down from the mountain, Bales (Naomi Watts) discovers a stranded man (Billy Howle) in need of help. She undertakes the impossible mission of saving his life.
