When an anonymous whistleblower from Peculiar, Missouri alleges that the mayor's wife is a fraud, the Shifter Tri-State Council decides to send me in to investigate. Problem is, I like the people in this town, and I don't want to betray any of them...especially a certain handsome werecoyote named Brady Corman.
Unfortunately, I don't get paid to make friends or dates.
But when the local pain-in-the-ass aka "the whistleblower" is found dead, and both the town's beloved Sheriff and Brady's teenaged son are prime suspects, along with half the town, I have to investigate.
As much as I'd like to ignore the evidence, my sense of duty won't let me turn a blind eye to injustice. My loyalty to my friends will be tested and my relationship with Brady may be over before it even begins.
