The Christmas season approaches, and with it arrives a boatload of challenging cases for the Beers Detective Agency crew.
Johnny Scalabrino has opened his New Orleans La Scala store, but soon learns the property came with an encumbrance—a pesky family trying to blackmail him. Meanwhile, the police department has asked Beers for assistance with a missing person case, and a woman suspects foul play in the death of her happy hour friend.
That's enough to keep the agency hopping, but on top of that, Beers gets a visit from his girlfriend, Emmie, then has to deal with his father's health crisis. Further complicating the holidays is the discovery of a tale of murder involving his mother.
It's Family, Beers finds the agency pulled in many directions while trying to unravel seemingly impossible cases.
