weaves into a single production - and sets to libretto - various episodes from the tumultuous life of first lady turned shipping heiress turned book editor Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. The Teatro Rossini mounted this particular production in 2008, 11 years after the opera's premiere; it stars Fiona McAndrew as Jackie, Nora Sourouzian as Maria Callas, Simone Alberghini as Aristotle Onassis, Paul Carey Jones as Andy Warhol and Enea Scala as the voice of J.F.K. The Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna provides symphonic accompaniment, with Christopher Franklin conducting; Gianluigi Giacomoni serves as chorus master for the Ensemble del Teatro Rossini di Lugo.
