Although Nietzsche is one of the most influential thinkers of modernity, a comprehensive commentary on his complete works has been lacking until now, which opens up the philosophical, historical and literary preconditions and contexts. The Historical and Critical Commentary on Friedrich Nietzsche's Works , supported by the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, brings together the results of previous research and at the same time considerably expands the state of knowledge. Introductory overview commentaries place Nietzsche's writings in their conceptual context, explain their structure and offer information on the history of their creation and impact.
