These highly evolved predators are as beautiful as they are fascinating - did you know, for example, that almost all members of this carnivorous family share an inborn glitch that prevents them from tasting sweetness? So these fifteen short stories deal with some of nature's deepest secrets, specializing on little-known cat species which wander the earth in search of prey and peace. None of these are your common housecat nor are any the well-known big cats.
