Over a period of 20 years, Lawrence County Historical Society member Fred G. Mieswinkel abstracted, organized, typed and indexed these records from the first 600 probate files in the Lawrence County, Missouri, Probate Office, making them more readily accessible to researchers. Contents of the files vary greatly, from empty packets to files several inches thick. Mieswinkel attempted to obtain information pertinent to genealogy. Includes an index to files, as well as an index of names. This is among Lawrence County Missouri Historical Society publications reprinted by the Society in 2018 as Heritage Editions.
