Streisand
to continue her evolution into a kind of
post-rock
contemporary
pop
artist. This was achieved largely through the sympathetic ballad arrangements, which surrounded
's voice with delicately played individual instruments while focusing on her calm vocals. The exception was a cover of
the Four Tops
'
"Shake Me, Wake Me,"
which was given a
disco
treatment. For the most part,
