Letters from Katie tells of the journey of young Mary Katherine Donovan from her home on a tobacco farm outside the small but thriving town of Georgetown, Kentucky to England in a quest to meet a grandfather she has never known and on to Ireland to reacquaint with her mother's family. Along the way, she encounters a man who haunts her thoughts and dreams, but whom she cannot see a future. Along the way a shadow of danger follows her with the intent of harming her and her family.
