Houses catch fire mysteriously in a small town in Arkansas. Suspicion focuses on the local fire chief, Buddy Bodie. He called on his investigator and polygraph examiner cousin, John Bodie, to find out why the fires are happening and who is responsible. He arrives to find a crooked county sheriff and a seedy real estate agent involved in a deadly conspiracy.
