Ahmad Jamal
in the mid-1970s. His group (comprised of guitarist
Calvin Keys
, bassist
John Heard
, drummer
Frank Gant
and
Seldon Newton
on conga) was temporarily larger than usual, and
Jamal
stretches out on three originals (including
"Effendi"
