Long to Remember is a journey of life through Colombia, South America, including everything from the fun-filled evening of Jhon and Isabella's travel in "Chiva Bus" to the tragic and dangerous event of attending a funeral in "Silently We Mourn." The experience of gun-carrying police officers entering a disco in "The Raid" does not deter Jhon from enjoying Colombia. There are poems filled with friends and acquaintances, such as in "Patricia," and poems relating funny events, such as the disappearance of sandals in "On the Beach in Cartagena." Long to Remember shows the difficulties of being separated by government bureaucrats in "The Waiting Game" as well as the coming together of lovers in "Sweet Reunion." Through poetry we discover how simple, daily events become meaningful and important in everyday life. Colombia, a land of rugged beauty, is a country of people who willingly give their love.
