When M. Steven Prescott leaves his law office for the day, he's unaware of the terrifying life-and-death struggle awaiting him between his floor and the lobby of his building in "Loose Ends." Other short stories include "I'd Rather Be Lucky," where a proverbial good woman stands by and counsels her man as he tries to solve a series of crimes; "The Naked Banker," the coming-of-age story of an on-again, off-again relationship; "Princess Pamela and the Blind Hog," in which a tormented man works to rid himself of a haughty wife in a most unusual way; "Gas Pains," where the tables are turned on an assistant district attorney, and other flights of fiction. Each tale has a twist of mystery, some laced with humor and romance. Love some of the characters, laugh with others, cry with some, and even hate a few. A great, entertaining read with an eclectic mix of storylines.
