English summary: In this volume, an extensive collection, documentation and classification of preserved Mamlukian minbares is presented. They are presented for the first time as donated, created, used and meaningful objects of the Mamluk period. The social context of the Foundation of the Minbare is worked out as one of the decisive reasons for the multitude of minbares preserved and created under Mamluk rule. Finally, Miriam Kuhn illustrates the use of this piece of equipment for the Friday Mosque by using Mamluk image and script sources as well as the inscriptions of the Minbare. German description: In diesem Band wird eine umfangreiche und beispiellose Erfassung, Dokumentation und Klassifikation erhaltener mamlukischer Minbare vorgelegt. Sie werden erstmals als gestiftete, geschaffene, genutzte und mit Bedeutung versehene Objekte der mamlukenzeitlichen Gesellschaft vorgestellt. Der gesellschaftliche Kontext der Stiftung der Minbare wird als eine der entscheidenden Ursachen fur die Vielzahl erhaltener und unter mamlukischer Herrschaft entstandener Minbare herausgearbeitet.
