Perfectly ripe, exquisitely juicy mango, joined by rich, sweet cream. Refreshing. Delicious. Satisfying. This is what you get when you pick up a box of Trader Joe's Mango & Cream Bars from our freezer case. Long before there was "Mango Madness" in your neighborhood Trader Joe's (remember that?), there were these Mango & Cream Bars. They come to us from Australia, where they are made using sun-ripened Australian Kensington Pride Mangos and fresh cream - each bar is 70% mango sorbet and 30% sweet cream, which, in our humble opinions, is the ideal ratio (for what that's worth). Throughout the mango harvest season, our supplier waits until the mangoes have reached the pinnacle of ripeness, then purées the fruit to make the sorbet. Perfectly ripe mangoes equal perfectly delicious bars. Of note, these bars have no sticks. Instead, each bar is packaged in a sweet little wrapper that allows you to push the bar up, out and in (to your mouth!) - the faster you eat it, the less mess. Our Mango & Cream Bars are certified kosher and gluten free, and come with a scant 60 calories each. An 11.29 ounce box of eight is $3.49, every day. How refreshing is that?
