Greed can make someone to lie, steal, trick to or even kill or do all kinds of bad stuff, just to get what he/he wants. Tortoise does all these bad stuff and gets into tons of troubles almost always because of greed. As parents retell these stories to their children to teach them morals, they should also teach them that every bad act has a consequence, just as every good behavior has a reward.
