Detective Inspector Leah Bishop and her best friend and detective partner, the Victorian selkie Dorian Grey, are on the outs.
But they still have to work together. There's been a resurgence in the old stories of the Gorbals Vampire in the city of Glasgow. They will have to put aside their differences and investigate the stories told by the local children. Leah learns more about the monster under her bed, and the stories children tell each other - just another kind of folklore.
