More than a decade ago, Stacy Mal attended a "Life in the Spirit" seminar run by the Word of Life Catholic Charismatic Renewal Center in the Diocese of Erie, PA. During that seminar, Stacy confessed her sins, renewed her Baptismal vows, and re-committed her life to Jesus. Team members prayed over Stacy for a greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and she almost immediately began to experience Him more intimately and powerfully. After the seminar, Stacy began to keep a prayer journal. Each morning she woke earlier than required in order to spend quiet time with God. During this time, she wrote Him personal love letters. Soon, she began to hear Him speaking back to her-not audibly, but in the depths of her heart. She recorded these words in the journal as well. In these encounters, the Lord spoke to Stacy about who He is, as well His great love for her and all of His children. He called Himself her "Good Father." He spoke about her vocation as a mother, her sins, the world at large, and so much more. She relayed the happenings to her Spiritual Director at the time, and gave him copies of the journal. He advised her to continue writing what she "heard."This book is just that. It's what she "heard." The fruit of this journal is in the fact that Stacy found great peace and healing as she conversed with God in the Holy Spirit. She was healed not only of physical ailments, but also anxiety and the ill effects of unhealthy relationships. In these pages, God fathered her, as a Good Father does. He guided her, advised her, and lovingly disciplined her. Stacy shares her journal publicly, now, in the hopes that all might come to know God intimately, and be likewise healed. Although this is Stacy's personal journal, the messages given to her in these pages are messages specifically for the reader as well. Therefore, this book should be read with the understanding that God is reaching out to each reader individually, as a beloved child."For those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received a spirit of adoption, through which we cry, 'Abba, Father!' The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if only we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him." (Romans 8:14-17)
