Notorious and brutal serial killer Ted Bundy (Luke Kirby) receives his verdict from the courts, sentencing him to death for his crimes against humanity. As Bundy prepares for the end of his life as a death row prisoner, he develops an unlikely and fraught relationship with FBI analyst Bill Hagmaier (Elijah Wood).
