Although he knew there was a difference, he had to experience the genuine reality between believing and walking in belief. Arising from his own experiences spanning four years of boyhood in East Africa as a missionary's kid, to walking amidst danger in the ancient Biblical land that is now Iraq, he desires others to understand their worth.
