Unfortunately, it was so cold that Vic did not have a proper grip on the wire, and when Joe produced the cutters, a harsh metallic noise filled the air. They both froze in panic, stopped breathing, and listened for a while to the silence of that strange night.
"See the rocket wire?" asked Vic.
"Yes," replied Joe I'm going to slide down into the channel; help with my movements." With his face down, Joe slowly slid into the
