Starting in spring, our Organic Cranberries are grown on trailing vines in cranberry bogs (that’s grower-speak for marshes & wetlands). They’re cultivated in colder regions, including Wisconsin and Quebec, where sandy soil allows roots to go deep, even though the cold weather inevitably comes early. While this makes for a shorter growing season, it naturally permits fewer insects—eliminating the need for insecticides. And though the crops are smaller, the cranberries are more robust... and organic!
