Pictures of Perfect Peace is a creative and fresh way to introduce the Christian Faith through pictures. Using a lap-top computer, DVD player and television or even projected for larger groups, Pictures of Perfect Peace is an evangelistic tool to introduce the Christian Faith to people who are visual learners, like artwork, or who have reading disabilities. Each slide contains artwork students are asked to react to and give their interpretation of, and in so doing, reveal their deep spiritual feelings and thoughts. The artwork changes evangelism from a canned, mechanical approach, to a living conversation in which spiritual seekers express their deep feelings, and the Christian tactfully replies and presents the Christian message in terms of the needs of the student.
The study contains four major lessons which can also be extended into eight lessons. The first section deals with the subject of the Bible-the world's great "peace book". The second section deals with God. Who is He? Can He be known? The third section studies sin, its results, and three alternatives that face God in dealing with it. The final section deals with commitment, trust and the Christian life.
Each DVD contains a leader's guide explaining how to use this program as a personal witness tool at work, with neighbors, or as part of a church's outreach program. The leader's guide also gives the "discipler" an explanation of each picture and what it represents as well as questions to facilitate meaningful dialogue.
This material has been used very successfully both in leading people back into the Christian Faith and in teaching someone from a totally non-Christian background. About 75% of those who are uncommitted prior to studying this material not only make a commitment to Christ but renew their activity, or start it afresh, in regular church attendance and membership.
