When Betty Lou and Danny Kolinski decide to play hooky, little do they realize what awaits them down at the creek. Danny is injured by three rock-throwing bullies, and Betty Lou must shoulder the responsibility for her brother's pain. Yet sometimes taking a seemingly wrong path can lead to the healing of both body and spirit. Perhaps Betty Lou and Danny find themselves on just such a road heading towards a better tomorrow.
