PRESENT AT THE BEGINNING includes an intimate history of the New Thought movement in 19th century America. In 1888, Mrs. Cramer founded Divine Science, the oldest of the New Thought denominations. The second part of the book provides a verbatim transcription of the only known notes of Malinda Elliott Cramer's first Normal Class in Divine Science offered outside San Francisco, in Denver, Colorado in February 1890. These notes, taken by Fannie B. James, have been hidden for more than 125 years. The book also includes an array of photographs that track the personalities of the founders and pre-genitors of the New Thought movement.
