This fine art print is inspired by Hermana, an original work created by Colibrí, a small artisan group of three Tseltal sisters from San Juan Cancuc: Ana, Petrona, and Natalia. They weave on the backstrap loom, a tradition passed down by their elders, while infusing their work with fresh ideas, bold colors, and innovative formats shaped by collective learning spaces. Each piece reflects both their deep cultural identity and their evolution as young, creative women rooted in tradition and committed to their community. Each Proud Mary print is made using archival inks on museum-quality cotton rag paper. The original artists receive a 15% royalty on every sale, creating passive income while honoring their creative contribution.
