What happens when a summer fling turns into a senior year romance?
Emma is fine being a loner and a nobody at her school, but now she has a boyfriend who is a somebody. And Emma has no clue how popular Tyler is.
Tyler attends the same school as Emma for their senior year. Emma's thrown headfirst into learning the rules of having a boyfriend and navigating the social chaos of high school. A school lunchroom is on the opposite end of the universe from having donuts with four grandmothers and their grandkids in a retirement community.
Hoping to retain the sense of self she discovered during summer vacation, Emma finds the courage to get out of her box as Tyler pulls into his. Emma feels she knows the real Tyler, but he holds something back from her. Breaking every unwritten boyfriend rule, Emma's small world is shattered when she enters Tyler's. It'll take the senior kids and senior citizens of the donut club to unmask the problem between Emma and Tyler and show them what's real.
