Johnny "Thunder" Thunderbird, a Lakota American Indian, has been tasked with designing and opening an American Indian Cultural Center in South Florida built to teach non-natives about their history. Isabel "Isa" Gonzalez is a headstrong Cuban legal immigrant. Their relationship is hot and tumultuous with a lot of twists and turns. Can these two very different people from different walks of life make it work in this everchanging world? Will their families break them apart or bring them together?
