Grief and guilt have haunted police officer Jay Preston since the tragic death of his wife and daughter in an accidental house fire five years ago. The fact he was unable to save them makes it even worse, and he considers himself unredeemable.
However, he has to face the past when he responds to a house fire and finds there's a child trapped inside. He tries to wait for fire and rescue, but they won't make it in time. Forced to make a split-second decision, he enters the home and is instantly overwhelmed by guilt and the terror of reprising his previous failure.
Just when he's about to give up, his wife and daughter appear. But...they're dead. He chalks it up to smoke hallucinations, yet, the pair won't leave him alone.
Will he find the child in time? Or will the ghosts from his past make him repeat history all over again?
