In 1980, the Vietnam War was a distant memory for Eddie Henderson. He has a loving wife, a beautiful home, and a good job as a teacher. He's built a new life for himself in Austin, Texas. But when a local newspaper reveals that his most hated enemy still lives, he soon finds himself dragged back into the violence and bloodshed of wartime memories.
Eddie discovers that Lieutenant Dang, a brutal Viet Cong officer who killed Eddie's fellow captor and friend, and massacred his own people during the war, now hides in the Houston underworld of Little Saigon. Acting as the leader of a fishermen's union, Dang uses his old crew of thugs and soldiers to extort fellow refugees for money. But when Dang realizes Eddie is on to him, he sends an explosive message to the soldier's family.
And Eddie Henderson prepares to go to war once again.
Reuniting with the men from his former unit, Eddie and his friends engage in a final battle with their deadliest enemy. A battle fought in the shadows, on U.S. soil. A battle that will test their loyalty and courage, and lay the pain of broken vows and lost bothers to rest once and for all.
