Rhythms of Life, Songs of Wisdom
is a collection of Akan music from Ghana, West Africa. The performances, culled from remote areas of central Ghana, feature the singing and chanting talents of everyday people -- farmers, fishermen, traders, civil servants and the like -- accompanied by water drums, rectangular frame drums, side-blown horns and brass bands. ~ Jason Ankeny
