ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE OF THIS BOOK ARE DONATED TO FREEWHEELERS EMERGENCY VOLUNTARY SERVICE: REGISTERED CHARITY (No 1001067) A History of the Freewheelers Emergency Voluntary Service and a description of the charity's current services. Freewheelers provides an emergency out of hours courier service for hospitals in the Bristol, Bath and Taunton area. It carries blood, samples, medicines, donated breast-milk, patient records and vital equipment overnight, at weekends and on public holidays. It does this at no charge to the NHS and relies on the support of public donations and corporate sponsorship to maintain its service. It is stafffed wholly by unpaid volunteers and saves the NHS more than £250,000 a year.
