Rosco, the retired German shepherd police dog has to leave his comfortable home in Sydney and reluctantly moves to the remote Australian outback with Matt, his owner, who has inherited a cattle station from his uncle. There, he befriends Ziggie, a cattle dog from a neighboring station who warns him of the danger that is lingering around this place. Unexpectedly his friend, Kalif, the President of the Indian ring-necks and six other birds from around the world arrive. They are on a mission to ensure that future generations of birds will have enough food, by planting seeds. The cattle station is the perfect place for them to complete their mission. Reluctantly Rosco gives in. Not long after he encounters the dangerous Hank from Black Hawk station who has been searching for a hidden treasure for years that is on Rosco's cattle station. When Rosco finds a suitcase full of money in the attic he realizes this must have been the treasure Hank is searching for. Rosco needs to protect Matt and the cattle station from him and asks Ziggie and the birds for help. The thrilling climax is the confrontation between Rosco and Hank who has held Matt hostage while he turns the homestead upside down in search for the money. Rosco leaps into action and can prove once again his excellent skills as a police dog by capturing Hank until the police arrive. The story results with Hank's arrest and Rosco falling in love with the outback.
