- Vacuum regularly on a low-power setting, using a vacuum without a beater brush, to prevent debris from settling into the fibers.
- Spot clean. Remove soil with soft brush. Remove spills immediately. Blot with a clean un-dyed cloth by pressing firmly around the spill to absorb as much as possible.
- Natural fibers can become dry and brittle over time with use and may crack or break off, resulting in shedding. Shedding of loose fibers is also normal with new rugs and a natural result of being handmade. Shedding should diminish with regular vacuuming and proper care.
- Do not pull loose ends. Clip them with scissors to remove.
- Keep away from excessive moisture.
- Blot spills immediately with a white cloth.
- Harsh chemicals may damage or fade rug.
- Use rug protectors under heavy furniture.
- Professional rug cleaning recommended as needed.
- Rotate or reposition your rug every 3-6 months to promote even wear on the surface and extend the life of the rug.
