Unique adventures and descriptive details document the discovery process as well as the culmination in finding the elusive 'Man in the Hat'. French proper names were assigned to each of the 25 images as a way of personalizing each piéton. In tribute to one of my all-time favorite writers, Victor Hugo, I bequeathed the 'Man in the Hat' with the Victor moniker. The take-away message conveyed by this book is to 'encourage people to explore, to go by foot, to roam about. Not only is it healthy but one can truly experience so many more things traveling at a leisurely pace. we are all pedestrians in life, so join the crowd... slow down, take your time, go for a walk, and be Observant; only then can you really explore and discover the world around you.
