in 1992, exhibits none of the
pop
-crossover tendencies of her later work, emphasizing her
merengue
roots in explicit fashion. Granted,
doesn't include any major hits and indeed pales in comparison to what would follow in the years to come: namely,
Mujer de Fuego
(1993),
Siente el Amor...
(1994), and
Llevame Contigo
(1997) -- all great albums that likewise emphasize
and predate her descent into
Latin pop
, beginning with
Te Acordaras de Mi
(1998). Still,
isn't a bad album. In fact, relative to other
albums of its time, it's quite good. However, it seems tepid relative to the heights
Tanon
would soon reach. One song worth nothing is
"Me Cambio por Ella,"
a great song written by
Raldy Vazquez
, who would pen several hits for
