Artisan bakers leaven the bread using a slow-rise process that further enhances the flavor, giving the finished loaves a mild, tangy taste. Requiring 24 hours to prepare from start to finish, the hand-shaped loaves are baked in old-style hearth ovens for a crisp, golden crust that beautifully complements the moist, supple crumb.
