I want the reader to see what I learned right before I went into two decades of trials and tribulations. People wonder how I survived, even thrived, and came out stronger from my trials. This Bible study is part of my first steps along a path that led me into embracing a whole new life. Only my children remain in my life, and a new family and support system now surrounds me.

Many times people have approached me and asked me what I learned and how to have more effective prayers. They were attracted to the signs and wonders that often followed me as I followed The Way. Some wanted to tap the divine guidance I began to follow. Others saw the glow on my face and wanted to know what was happening to me. I began to write down my life lessons one Scripture at a time. Soon I found myself rewriting them as people asked me to share again and again. Eventually I bought a word processor and began to write the Bible Study over a decade ago. It traveled with me through my tribulations until I am finally ready to publish it.
The lessons I learned equipped me to go through hardships and come out spiritually stronger and wiser. I was empowered to do good works and shed my old bad habits and ways. This book is for anyone who wants to explore the Scriptures and learn alongside me as my faith became more real, more tangible, and more amazing. I learned how to gain God's strength and wisdom, and this is really His story. I learned to rise above the abuse and neglect I suffered, and by God's grace I became my true self; while also becoming a new creation. This study contains the things the Holy Spirit taught me in the real world, a place I call "Holy Spirit Academy." Join in because the journey is still continuing and relevant.
