St. Lucia Escapades
Moria Donavon is a successful author living in Washington D.C where she was born and raised. She and her brother are first generation born Irish Americans and Moria fully embraces her Irish roots and her American roots as well. When Moria completes her latest novel, her family treats her to a vacation in beautiful St. Lucia.
Surprised and excited, Moira plans to fully enjoy herself and maybe even find herself a little male action while there. Coming off a long year of career highs, yet personal lows, she wants to use the trip to emotionally recharge.
Cord O'Brien, a North Carolina native, now living and running a successful set of bars throughout New York, is enjoying his success. One night, the son of a city councilman sets a small fire while drunkenly dancing on a table. Cord and his brother Collin are furious, yet shocked when the councilman says not only will he pay for the damages, but he will make his son help in the clean-up and repairs.
Cord has reluctantly agreed to take a vacation in St. Lucia after Collin insists that Cord needs a break and promise to oversee the repairs and the other bars. Cord is the face of his bars and Collin the brains, but for a short while, Cord is looking forward to not being recognized in the small islands.
When Cord and Moira meet, they become almost inseparable. Finding they enjoy each other's company; they begin spending more and more time touring the island and get to know each other better. The attraction is instantaneous. The more they grow to know one another, the hotter the sexual tension burns.
The two take their vacations as a chance to not only get to know one another personally but when the sexual tension hits boiling point, they begin to explore it as well. Their days are filled with just being together, doing normal tourist things on the island. Their nights are full of passion and just enjoying the nightlife of the island and in their beds.
When it gets closer to their vacations ending, they both decide to take a leap of faith and try a semi long-distance relationship. Moira and Cord return to the states and their relationship continues to build and grow.
Moria sets off on a several month book tour for her latest retreat and after returning, disaster hits for her and Cord. When someone from Cord's past threatens to pull them apart, their newfound love is in jeopardy. Cord's ex college girlfriend resurfaces and the night Moria returns from her tour, she goes to the club to meet Cord and catches him and his ex kissing.
Heartbroken and angry, Moria retreats to her childhood home in D.C. Cord tries to get Moira to listen that it was his ex that kissed him, while at the same time discovering that his ex has severe mental issues that led to the night Moria came back.
With the help of Moira's parents and best friend, Cord plans the perfect way to win Moira back. He opens a pub in D.C. and on opening night, Moira is there with her parents and best friend. There, at the pub Cord explains everything. Moira listens to what he tells her as well as reading the information Cord has dug up on the other woman.
The two patch things up and their love is stronger than ever. Cord even tells her that he is permanently moving to D.C. to open and run a chain of bars. Collin will take over New York and Cord will take over D.C. just to be with Moira. The two make up and Moira moves in with Cord there in D.C. and they are happy and looking forward to their future.
