Emotions run high as Kure and his team prepares to enter the Screaming Woods. Kure's worries increase the more they learn about the dangers the nightmare forest has to offer, but with Susuku, Yao, and May still determined to move forward with the investigation, Kure is hard pressed to ignore his protective instincts and allow them to assist him. Keith's constant presence in Susuku's life and his added energy could be causing Susuku's power to expand. With Susuku's power growing out of control Kure's worry for the boy increases. In the midst of all this Kure remains focused on his main objective; investigate the Screaming Woods and free Keith's soul. As investigation day draws near, Susuku's nights become increasingly frightening. Nightmares of the Screaming Woods wake him nightly from fitful sleep and Susuku's parents reveal that their son has a strange history with the mysterious forest. With the unlikely help of Kure's mischievous ex-lover, Susuku is able to realize that there is much more to the dreams he's been having, but will Kure heed his warning?
