Our rug's design is inspired by an Indian ikat depicted in a sixth-century fresco on the wall of the Ajanta caves, an ancient Buddhist monastery. Artisans at one of the world's oldest handwoven rug makers have translated the graceful design into hand-knotted, yarn-dyed wool.
